This exhibition flips the idea of 'black art' on its head, tracing an under looked 20-year period of creative innovation among African-American artists. With works from over 60 artists, “Soul of a Nation” shines a light on how social and political movements like civil rights and Black Power crossed paths with developments in Minimalism and abstraction.
