WORKSOURCE BUSINESS AND CAREER CENTER (AVALON)  

The Los Angeles Urban League Business and Career WorkSource Centers offer an integrated approach to services in which customers receive an array of employment and vocational training programs. The Centers goals are to provide quality information and related labor market data that will enable individual to become more marketable. The Centers are funded by the County of Los Angeles and City Workforce Investment Boards.

Job Placement Assistance
The Passport to Employment System offers job seekers unlimited access to tools and resources to conduct self-directed job searches. Employment placement assistance is offerred to customers who are job ready.

Case Management
WIA eligible customers will receive one-on-one assistance from Career Managers.

Training
The Urban League utilizes the services of many partners, local colleges and the Urban League Automotive Training Center to provide training opportunities.

Qualified enrollees in need of training to enter the workforce are offered the following skill building assistance:

  • Occupational Training
  • On-the-Job Training
  • Basic Skills Education
  • Customized Training
  • Adult Education & Literacy Activities
