The Los Angeles Urban League Annual Whitney M. Young. Jr. Awards Dinner is the signature event for the organization, attracts over 1,400 attendees and is the major source of general support revenue for the League.
 
The League hosts a sell-out crowd and the attendee list reads like a who’s who of Los Angeles including leaders from government, business, media, entertainment, nonprofit, education and grass roots organizations.
 
The Whitney M. Young, Jr. Award is presented to individuals who embody the leadership and legacy of the legendary executive director of the National Urban League, whose life was dedicated to the fight for equality.
