Los Angeles Urban League Young Professionals
The Los Angeles Urban League Young Professionals (YP) is an auxiliary group of the Los Angeles Urban League, and is comprised of key local talent, ages 21 to 40, that is committed to community service, public policy initiatives and business development. Through service, political involvement, professional development, networking and health awareness, the Young Professionals represent the next generation of great leaders supporting the objectives of the Urban League, as it endeavors to improve the quality of life for African Americans and other people of color.
Traditionally, the Young Professionals focus on supporting the National Urban League’s five-pronged agenda through the advocacy and provision of city wide programs and services primarily in the areas of education and youth empowerment, civic engagement and leadership empowerment, civil rights and racial justice empowerment.
