Floater/Assistant Teacher $10.00 per hour (3 Part-time positions available)
To be eligible for this position, applicant must meet the below requirements:
*High School diploma or GED
* Assistant Teachers Permit.
*Twelve (12) postsecondary semester (or equivalent quarter units) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
* A completed live scan background investigation (including fingerprinting and criminal screening).
* First Aid and CPR certification.
The State Preschool Floater/Assistant Teacher will be a part of a classroom teaching staff with major responsibility for assisting in carrying out typical duties for assisting in the classroom. This includes assisting in the implementation of developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate curriculum for each child; creating a room environment that invites children to explore, create, discuss and share. This position also requires the Floater/Assistant Teacher to prep and serve meals and snacks that are delivered from the food service vendor, in addition to, cleaning up after meal and snack service.
