Los Angeles Urban League has a variety of services to help individuals start their own businesses.

 Business Services Unit (BSU) 

The Los Angeles Urban League's Business Services Unit (BSU) is a division of our WorkSource Centers Located at two of these WorkSource Centers (Avalon and West Adams), they offer entrepreneurs and small businesses one stop access to an array of specialized resources and information. To address the needs of business, the Center's Business Services Unit offers business assessment, technical assistance, business planning, marketing and human resource referral, training, and assistance. 

 

The Business Services Unit (BSU) offers:

·         Business certification documents and information

·         Business to Business (B2B) contacts and advocacy

·         Business Association information

·         Listing of business lenders/Venture Capitalists/Angels/Grants/etc...

·         Referral to business assistance organizations

·         Office operation services

·         Business resource library with state of the art computers and software

·         PC and software training

·         Tax information and reference

·         Workshops/Seminars/Meeting

·         Business etiquette training workshops

·         Investment training and education

 

The BSU also provides referral, assessment and business plan development in conjunction with the Los Angeles Urban League South Los Angeles Minority Business Development Center.
