KJLH radio station’s 9th annual Women’s Health Forum was held at the LA Convention Center on Saturday. A vast array of traditional and unconventional women’s health issues were addressed at the Forum, ranging from Healthy Relationships to Financial Health.
As a featured presenter, the Los Angeles Urban League’s Neighborhoods@Work highlighted employment and entrepreneurship as keys to healthy lifestyles for women. Neighborhoods@Work hosted two workshops. The first centered on the services offered at the League’s Customer Service Institute. Personal branding, increasing and improving leadership abilities and realistic goal setting related to finding employment were just a few of the nuggets of advice and information shared with Forum participants. A second workshop featured opportunities for current and aspiring small business owners and entrepreneurs. The workshop gave participants a snapshot of the courses and services offered through the League’s new Entrepreneurship Center. The Center is designed to provide the foundational tools and techniques that are crucial to the success of any size business.
